PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet head which, if a leak occurs temporarily, can specify the cause of the leak without disassembling an inkjet type recording head after production, and also to provide a method for producing the liquid jet head. SOLUTION: The liquid jet head has: a passage formation substrate 10 having a pressure generation chamber 12 communicating with a nozzle opening 21 jetting liquid; a pressure generation means causing a pressure change in the pressure generation chamber; and a silicon substrate. A driving circuit 122 is set in the silicon substrate through an insulation layer 120 and a wiring pattern. The pressure generation means is driven in accordance with a signal from the driving circuit. The liquid jet head ejects liquid droplets from the nozzle opening by pressurizing the liquid supplied from a reservoir to pressure generation chamber. A test pattern 120 made of a conductive substance is formed in a part where the insulation layer does not exist to pass an electric current with the silicon substrate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
