PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply magnification chromatic aberration correction and MTF correction without causing increase of circuit scale, deterioration of image quality to an image imaged using a wide field angle optical system having a large magnification chromatic aberration. SOLUTION: The image imaged using the wide field angle optical system having the large magnification chromatic aberration is processed in order of the magnification chromatic aberration correction processing, a separation processing for separating the image into a brightness signal and a color signal, and a high band emphasis processing of the brightness signal. In detail, the image processing apparatus includes: a magnification chromatic aberration correction device 100 which performs coordinate conversion for each color component to correct the magnification chromatic aberration to the image including the magnification chromatic aberration; a color/brightness signal separation device 210 which separates the brightness signal and the color signal of the image in which the magnification chromatic aberration correction is applied; a high band emphasis filter 220 which emphasizes a high band of the brightness signal; and a color brightness signal-combining device 230 which combines the brightness signal and the color signal.
