摘要 <p>An automated guided vehicle (1) travels while a track (20) laid on a floor surface is being detected using a track detection sensor (11b) provided in a drive unit. The automated guided vehicle (1) has means (S21, S22) for judging the completion of a change of direction, which initiate a change of direction of the drive unit (11) following a command to switch travel mode and which judge that the drive unit has completed the change of direction when the track detection sensor moves from a state in which the track is not detected to a state in which the track is detected, and once it has been judged that the change of direction has been completed, the change of direction of the drive unit (11) is stopped and the automated guided vehicle (1) travels in a post-switching mode. This makes it possible to avoid making the system complex and to keep production costs low.</p>
