PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of reducing consumption power, when reading out image data from an imaging element. SOLUTION: A digital camera has a reading means carrying out a readout process of an image signal obtained by an imaging element, to apply to display of the image or a recording process; and a control means carrying out control for switching over frequencies of a driving signal used for the readout process of the image signal in the readout means.
