<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a customer to easily report fault occurrence apparatus information and fault information to a maintenance worker when a fault occurs in a stand-alone maintenance object apparatus, and also to prevent erroneous restoration processing from being performed even on a maintenance worker side. <P>SOLUTION: A fault reporting system 100 includes: a mobile terminal 20 and a maintenance management part 30. The mobile terminal includes: an electronic code 10 corresponding to maintenance object apparatus information; a reading part 21 for reading the electronic code; a display part 22 for displaying apparatus information corresponding to the electronic code read by the reading part; an input part 23 for setting maintenance demand information with respect to the apparatus information; and a reporting part for transmitting the maintenance demand information by mail.
