<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution device and a reception device, wherein the reception device can easily enlarge a display by using an image multicast-distributed from the distribution device. <P>SOLUTION: A distribution device distributing an image whose frame resolution is higher than a screen resolution of a reception device divides a frame of the image into a plurality of blocks, assigns block identification information to each block, transmits to the reception device the image division information including identification information of each block and location information within the frame of the block concerned, and transmits a multicast stream of an image per block to which the identification information is assigned. The reception device receives the image division information, determines an image area displayed on a display within the frame and a block within the image area based on the screen resolution and the magnification ratio, receives a multicast stream with identification information corresponding to the determined block out of the multicast streams of the image per block to which the identification information is assigned, and displays the multicast stream on the display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
