<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control vehicle speed when brake operation is performed during follow-up control. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle speed control ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 1 includes: an operation detection part 116 which detects brake operation by a driver; a first distance determination part 121 which determines whether distance between two vehicles detected by a distance detection part 115 is not smaller than a first threshold set beforehand when the brake operation is detected by the operation detection part 116 in a state that vehicle speed is controlled by a follow-up control part 118; and a first instruction part 122 which makes a constant speed control part 117 control the vehicle speed instead of a follow-up control section 118 when distance between two cars is determined not smaller than a first threshold by the first distance determination part 121. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
