<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic image generating apparatus capable of joining and combining images generated by using an acoustic reflection wave so that their joints are inconspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: In the acoustic image generating apparatus, original images are received from a moving sonar repeatedly emitting a sound wave to an object and receiving the reflection wave to sequentially output image information based on the reflection wave, a predetermined partial area is defined from the sequentially input original images, geometrical correction of a projection surface is performed for the original images on the basis of the distance between the sonar and the object, and the plurality of successively obtained original images after the geometrical correction are combined so that parts corresponding to the image part in each of the defined partial area overlap with each other to generate and output the combined acoustic image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
