Provided is a wastewater treatment method which can simultaneously treat aluminum etching wastewater and either color filter wastewater or copper etching wastewater and which can be conducted by one treatment equipment system and generates little sludge. The wastewater treatment method includes: mixing aluminum etching wastewater with either color filter wastewater or copper etching wastewater; adding a calcium compound to the obtained mixture; and subjecting the resulting mixture to solid-liquid separation. Since aluminum etching wastewater contains a phosphoric acid component, calcium phosphate is formed when a calcium compound is added to a mixture of aluminum etching wastewater with either color filter wastewater or copper etching wastewater. Thus, aluminum hydroxide and either suspended matter or copper hydroxide are coprecipitated with the calcium phosphate, whereby aluminum and various metals are simultaneously removed from the wastewaters. |
