PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of the cord of headphone in a portable television receiving set by incorporating a transmitting circuit that converts a sound signal to a modulating signal, and emitting a faint radio wave. CONSTITUTION:TV signals inputted from a receiving antenna 1 are outputted as video signals in a video signal reproducing circuit 2, on the one hand, and displayed in a display unit 3. On the other hand, the TV signals are outputted as sound signals in an sound signal reproducing circuit 4'. Modulated carrier wave is outputted from a transmitting circuit 13 by using the sound signal as a modulating signal, and emitted from a transmitting antenna as a radio wave. The radio wave emitted from the portable TV is received by a receiving antenna 15, outputted as a sound signal in sound signal reproducing circuit 16 and the sound producing section 5' is driven.
