PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device for improving AC/DC conversion efficiency of an AC/DC converter without causing enlargement and high cost of the AC/DC converter. SOLUTION: The power storage device includes: the AC/DC converter 131 that performs AC/DC conversion between AC power and DC power; a battery pack 132 for switching series-parallel array patterns of a plurality of secondary batteries; and an array conversion controller 134 that switches the series-parallel array patterns of the plurality of secondary batteries in the battery pack 132. The AC/DC converter 131 has the AC/DC conversion efficiency with characteristics which vary according to changes in a DC voltage of the battery pack 132. When the battery pack 132 is charged and discharged, the array conversion controller 134 switches the series-parallel array patterns of the plurality of secondary batteries so that the AC/DC conversion efficiency of the AC/DC converter 131 is maximized, and adjusts the DC voltage of the battery pack 132.
