PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both of the suppression of pressure fluctuation in a cap and the prevention of drying of a nozzle by the cap. SOLUTION: In a head cap 70 covering the ejection surface 30a of a head 2, a tabular flow passage member 75 where a flow passage 75x is formed on the upper surface thereof is held between a roughly concave cap 71 and a holder 72. The flow passage 75x communicates between a through-hole 71x formed in the bottom wall 71b of the cap and a through-hole 72x formed in the bottom wall 72b of the holder 72. The inner space 70a of the head cap 70 facing the ejection surface 30a is communicated with an outer space by the through-holes 71x and 72x and the flow passage 75x. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
