PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data scanning circuit which performs optional decimation reading for reading only effective data without reading redundant data, and also to provide a solid state image sensor and a camera system. SOLUTION: An H scanner 140 includes a plurality of data flip-flop circuits FF10-FF13, as selection signal generating sections, arranged corresponding to the parallel arrangement of ADC10-ADC115 and outputting a selection signal to a corresponding ADC in synchronism with a clock being supplied, wherein the output lines of selection signal are connected individually and alternately with the output portion of ADCs in an arrangement being read out at the time of decimation reading and ADCs in an arrangement being skipped. At the time of ordinary reading, the plurality of data flip-flop circuits FF10-FF13 are scanned sequentially and the data of a plurality of ADCs are output to the corresponding data transfer lines. At the time of decimation reading, scanning order is altered and only the effective data of ADCs in an arrangement from which data are read out by decimation reading are output to the corresponding data transfer lines.
