PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously prevent a marker from hitting against an obstacle such as a levee carelessly in a rice transplanter equipped with the marker for forming a traveling index for the next time on the surface of a paddy field so that the posture of the marker may be switched to an action posture of extruding the marker to the lateral direction of a machine body or a housing posture of retreating the marker to the side of the machine body. SOLUTION: The rice transplanter is equipped with a detection means 38 for detecting that the traveling machine body 3 approaches to the obstacle B, and a marker-automatically switching means for automatically switching the marker 12 in the action posture to the housing posture when the approach to the obstacle B near than a set value is detected.
