PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make even toplevel players of slot machines feel fully satisfied while enabling even beginners and midlevel players to obtain tokens sufficiently. SOLUTION: The slot machine includes a plurality of reels 31 with symbols of multiple kinds displayed on them, a stop switch 42 operated by the players when stopping the rotation of the individual reels 31, a reel control pattern data table 67 which has a plurality of reel control patterns for determining how to control the stopping of the reels 31 corresponding to the operation sequence of the stop switch 42, a reel control pattern lottery means 68 for the lottery of reel control patterns from the reel control pattern data table 67, and a reel control pattern notification means 69 for notifying the players of the contents pertaining to the reel control patterns selected by the reel control pattern lottery means 68.
