A process for decomposing a volatile aromatic compound in the vapor phase, which process comprises:
a step of bringing the volatile aromatic compound into contact, under light irradiation, with a photocatalyst layer formed by applying a photocatalyst dispersion liquid to a substrate,
wherein the photocatalyst dispersion liquid comprises titanium oxide photocatalyst particles and tungsten oxide photocatalyst particles dispersed in a dispersion medium, and the surfaces of the titanium oxide photocatalyst particles are charged in the same polarity as the surfaces of the tungsten oxide photocatalyst particles. |
