To enable a read-write head to perform a fast and accurate track following, the invention proposes a read-write head (1), which exhibits: a first block (11) and a carrier (14) movably attached to the first block (11) carrying a read-write element, and at least one electromagnetic actuator device, with at least one electromagnetic element (8, 9) to generate magnetic forces, which are acting upon the carrier (14).
