<p>Disclosed is a cowl structure for car wherein appearance between the rear end of a hood and a cowl cover is enhanced, and an impact load applied to the hood can be absorbed stably at a portion of the vertical wall of a louver. A groove (34) extending in the vehicle width direction is formed in the front side portion of a cowl louver (30), a protrusion (31) extending in the vehicle width direction is formed on the rear side of the groove (34), and the vertical wall (32) of a louver extends from the bottom (34b) of the groove (34) to the top (31t) of the protrusion (31), wherein the rear edge (43) of a hood (40) covers from the front end position of the cowl louver (30) to the top (31t) of the protrusion (31), bending lines (321, 323) providing an opportunity of bending are formed on the vertical wall (32) of a louver from near the left end to near the right end thereof in the vehicle width direction, and many openings (32x) penetrating the vertical wall (32) of a louver are formed at positions overlapping the bending lines (321, 323) from near the left end to near the right end of the vertical wall (32) of a louver.</p> |
