A group mail box operating system and a method thereof are provided to record a message inputted from the first terminal in a group mail box assigned to a group in which the first terminal is included, and then automatically notify terminal belonging to the group of the registration of messages. A group checking unit(201) confirms a group mail box allocated to a group which the first terminal inputting a message belongs to. A message recording unit(202) records the message inputted from the first terminal in the confirmed group mail box. A record notifying unit(203) informs group terminals belonging to the group of the recording fact. A mail box managing unit(206) notifies an access address of a group homepage to the group terminals.
