<p>There is disclosed a method of installation of a powerline data communication system in an electrical power distribution network, the method comprising determining a performance specification for a said powerline data communication system; establishing a data carrying capability of the electrical power distribution network; selecting a configuration of powerline equipment to fulfill the performance specification, taking into account the data carrying capability of the electrical power distribution network; and installing the powerline equipment to provide a powerline data communication system carried on the electrical power distribution system, which satisfies the performance specification.</p> |
