PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection system for accurately detecting all individual objects without duplicate. SOLUTION: This object detection system is configured to compare a quadrilateral effective pixel region in a template image with a pixel block on an image to be retrieved while moving the position on the image to be retrieved, and to (a) output the detection result at the position where similarity is determined to be the highest as a retrieval result, and (b) to erase the region on the image to be retrieved corresponding to the quadrilateral effective pixel region in the template image.
