<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer system can transfer data between servers even in a place where the server is not installed. <P>SOLUTION: Data information such as the identification number of data, the sort of data and copyright information, and index information including an address of the server that stores data are generated for data stored in a transfer source server, and only the index information is transmitted to and held in a personal digital assistant carried with an owner of the transfer source server. Based on the index information held in the mobile terminal and the address of a transfer destination server, a data transfer request for transferring data indicated by the index information, to a transmission destination server is made to the transfer destination server from the personal digital assistant.
