<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a mounting position of a polarization beam splitter incorporated in an optical pickup device. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a polarization beam splitter 3 constituted of: a first prism 3A in which a control plane to which a control film S on which a laser beam radiated from a laser diode 1 and return light reflected from a signal recording layer of the optical disk are made incident, while selection-controlling transmission operation and reflection operation of an incident laser beam is adhered is formed; and a second prism 3B provided with an opposite plane adhered and fixed to the control plane formed on the first prism 3A. First and second positioning pins 11, 12 abutting on the control plane of the first prism 3A are provided at a base mount to which optical parts are fixed, and the polarization splitter 3 is adhered and fixed to the base mount in a state in which the control plane of the first prism 3A is pressed and abutted on the first and the second positioning pins. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
