<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct alcohol type fuel cell which is improved in output power by making the structure of the fuel cell simple and downsized. <P>SOLUTION: In the downsized direct alcohol type fuel cell, a liquid alcohol sent to an evaporation portion 4 by capillary tube action is evaporated in the evaporation portion 4, mixed with non-condensable gas and its partial pressure is lowered, and then, supplied to the power generation portion 2 together with the non-condensable gas. Then, polybenzimidazole is used in an electrolyte membrane of the power generation portion 2 to suppress a cross-over phenomenon, and power generation is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
