PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism having ability for producing ethanol. SOLUTION: The new microorganism belonging to Veillonella has ability for producing ethanol in an anaerobic environment into which carbon monoxide, or a synthetic gas comprising carbon dioxide and hydrogen is introduced as a substrate, and is deposited as Veillonella sp.
