PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition in which the preservation stability of a polyol dehydrogenase containing pyrroloquinolinequinone as a prosthetic group is remarkably improved, and to provide a measuring reagent for a polyol using the composition. SOLUTION: The polyol dehydrogenase composition comprises the polyol dehydrogenase containing the pyrroloquinolinequinone as the prosthetic group, a cyclic amino acid, a non-reducing sugar or an amino glycoside-based antibiotic having a guanidino group, a metal compound containing a metal forming a divalent metal ion, and a surfactant.
