APPARATUS FOR GUIDING WIRE-ROD FED INTO ROLLING ROLL

An apparatus for guiding a wire rod fed into a rolling roll is provided to prevent the generation of chip when the leading end of the wire rod is inserted between the entry guide roll and the rolling roll. An apparatus for guiding a wire rod fed into a rolling roll comprises a rolling mill entry guide unit(30) and a wire rod pressing unit(10). The rolling mill entry guide unit consists of a body(32) in the entrance of the rolling mill and an entry guide roll(36) guiding a wire rod to the body. The wire rod pressing unit includes a guide body(12) mounted on a blade connector(184) and a wire rod pressing surface(14) installed on a drum(182) of a cutter(180) arranged at the entrance of the rolling mill. The halves of the guide body are pressed against each other when the drum rotates so that the wire rod pressing surface formed on the inner surface of the guide body makes the cut part of the wire rod curved.
