PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a motion class classification apparatus for reducing an effect due to observation error included in a filter process result of a plurality of tracking filters having different motion classes, and improving the correctness of classification information on the motion class of a target, and also acquire a tracking processor using the classification apparatus, and improving the correctness of tracking information on the target. SOLUTION: Class likelihoods as observation vectors processed by a plurality of class filters provided per different motion class are stored in chronological order. When the analyzed likelihood is derived by analyzing the class likelihood in a current observation, a stored content is referred in chronological order. If the class likelihoods temporally and continuously exceed a predetermined threshold value, the class likelihood calculated by the class filter is employed and output. Otherwise, a predetermined fixed value is employed and output. While the effect on the class likelihood due to the observation error which is not temporally continued is reduced, the error is prevented from being accumulated when a class probability is calculated at a subsequent stage.
