A button starting system for an LPI vehicle is provided to enable a user to start the engine with only a button because the software algorithm inside the smart key ECU, engine ECU, and alarming unit is changed. A button starting system for an LPI vehicle comprises a start button(20), a smart key(60), an engine ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(50), an IFB(InterFace Box) ECU(70), an LPG switch(80), an alarming unit(40), a smart key ECU(10). The smart key exchanges the smart key ECU and authentication information. The engine ECU controls the vehicle depending on the authentication of the smart key. The IFB ECU controls the fuel related components of the LPI vehicles. The LPG switch controls the fuel shut-off of the LPI vehicles. The alarming unit include a built-in LPI lamp(42). The smart key ECU authenticates the smart key through the authentication information exchange with the smart key.
