<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of lighting the whole light-emitting face uniformly in a prescribed brightness regardless of individual variations and secular change. <P>SOLUTION: An organic EL light-emitting module 10 of the illumination device 1 is constituted by sequentially laminating a glass substrate 11, an anode electrode layer 12 composed of an ITO deposited membrane, an organic EL light-emitting layer 13 to emit light when energized in the thickness direction, a cathode electrode layer 14 which is composed of the ITO deposited membrane, and in which the organic EL light-emitting layer 13 is interposed between the anode electrode layer 12 in its thickness direction, and a sealing layer 15 composed of a metal thin film. The sealing layer 15 has a minute opening part 16, a brightness detecting part 20 is arranged in the vicinity of and opposed to the opening part 16, by outputting a brightness detection signal through detecting radiation light of the organic EL light-emitting layer 13 leaked from the opening part 16, and by adjusting the reference value of a current applied to the organic EL light-emitting module 10, the current applied to the organic EL light-emitting module 10 is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
