PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle vibration damping device having novel construction for effectively preventing the worsening of a vibrating condition due to the resonance of a vibration member in a wide frequency range including a low frequency range without greatly increasing the weight of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The vibration damping device 10 is mounted on the vibration member 12 of the vehicle. It comprises: a vibration damping rod member 14 formed of magnesium and attached to the vibration member 12; and fixing means 16 for fixing the vibration damping rod member 14 to the vibration member 12 at a plurality of positions in the longitudinal direction.
