A filter material and process for producing a filter material, which may be used as a vacuum cleaner bag or a household air filter, are provided. Embodiments of the filter material comprise a porous substrate comprising a plurality of recycled fibers bound together by an adhesive. Embodiments of t he process comprise arranging a plurality of fibers to form a layer; providing an amount of an adhesive to the fibres such that when the adhesive has cured, t he layer is porous; and curing the adhesive. |
