PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for preventing erroneous detection of a paper size in an image forming device with both of a constitution for detecting the paper size of a recording paper housed in a paper-feeding cassette with a size dial, and a constitution for moving the paper-feeding cassette upward and downward immediately before the cassette is positioned to an insertion position. SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 comprises a paper-feeding cassette 3 installed so as to be able to be inserted into and pulled out from a device body 2, an auxiliary roller 6 contacting a bottom of the paper-feeding cassette 3, a positioning concave groove 27 formed at the bottom of the paper-feeding cassette 3 in an arc-like shape and fitted with the auxiliary roller 6, a paper size sensor 7 provided so that a sensor filler 15 can be projected from a sensor body 14 installed movably upward and downward inside the device body 2, a sensor contact part 29 projecting from the paper-feeding cassette 3 contacting the paper size sensor 7 from below, and a filler operation part 26 installed to the paper-feeding cassette 3 and operating the projection of the sensor filler 15.
