PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability in tilting a seat back forward. SOLUTION: A vehicular seat 3 is characterized in that: the seat back 5 has a notched portion 12 at a lateral upper end portion thereof; the notched portion 12 contains a lock member 8 pivotally supported around a horizontal axis; the lock member 8 is provided with a hook portion 8a which can engage with a lock striker 10 disposed on a vehicle body side and a grip portion 8c; and the grip portion 8c is turned forward of a vehicle, so that the hook portion 8a turns forward of the vehicle to disengage from the lock striker 10 and the seat back 5 can tilt forward around a pivot at its lower end.
