PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain uneven form given to a recording medium independently of a degree of stiffness of the recording medium. SOLUTION: This recording method includes a recording step for recording by discharging ink to a conveyed paper sheet P, a conveying step for conveying the paper sheet P to an ink discharge range, an uneven form giving step for giving uneven form continued to a direction crossing the conveying direction, and a recessed quantity adjusting step for increasing the recessed quantity of the paper sheet P as stiffness of the paper sheet P is reduced.
