PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing and reinforcing a damaged site in a weld part in a steel structure under service by welding, to which a varied load is repeatedly applied, in a relatively simple method. SOLUTION: In the method, the site to be repaired and reinforced is welded from one side regardless of whether or not cracks occure in the welded part in a state that a varied load is repeatedly applied on the site to be repaired the change in the displacement of an opening is not more than 0.5 mm. After the welding, cracks are removed by chipping from the backside of the welded site to be repaired and reinforced. After the confirmation of the removal of the cracks, the site subjected to chipping is subjected to full penetration welding. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
