PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a device capable of allowing air to be effectively brought into contact with water, so as to take a contamination substance contained in the air into the water with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An air cleaning system 1 for treating the contamination substance such as a chemical substance and microbes contained in the air includes: a water storage tub 3 for storing water, where the water level is brought into contact with the air; and a stirring device 7 for generating a swirl by stirring the water in the water storage tub 3.
