<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device of hybrid development system that can prevent image memory without increasing drive torque of each roller, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a first magnetic body with a plurality of first magnetic portions, a conveying roller that has a cylindrical conveying sleeve rotated along the periphery of the first magnetic body, and that conveys developer containing non-magnetic toner and magnetic carrier while holding the developer on the outer peripheral face of the conveying sleeve; a second magnetic body with a second magnetic portion; and a cylindrical developing sleeve rotated along the periphery of the magnetic body. The second magnetic portion is disposed between the first and second areas and on the upstream side of the developing roller in its rotating direction, and holds the magnetic substance on the second magnetic portion via the developing sleeve. Thus, the force with which development residual toner is attracted to the developing sleeve is decreased to avoid image memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
