PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve moving load characteristics of an optical pickup. SOLUTION: A lead screw 22 and motor axis 26 are held by a bracket 30 in such a way that the lead screw 22 and the motor axis 26 are staggered vertically and intersected, and the lead screw 22 is rotated depending on a rotation of the motor axis 26 by placing the lead gear 24 and motor gear 27 to engage with each other. The bracket 30 includes a motor bearing 62 for holding the motor axis 26, a lead bearing 61, which is formed in a slender shape in the longitudinal direction parallel to the motor axis 26 and is provided with a tip end for holding the lead screw 22 while the tip end of the bearing 74 is freed, a frame 60 as a connecting part for connecting an elastic section 76, the root of the lead bearing 61, with the motor bearing 62, and a vertical position fixing area 80 as a vertical position fixing section for fixing the position of the lead bearing 61 in the vertical direction.
