PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge which is highly durable against drop impact. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge is provided with a disk-like recording medium 3, a cartridge case 2 rotatably containing the disk-like recording medium 3 and having formed therein a first opening 23 for exposing a part of the disk-like recording medium 3, an inner rotor 4 pivotably supported inside the cartridge case 2 and having a main surface section 4a having formed therein a second opening 42 corresponding to the first opening 23, shutter members 5a, 5b capable of, in response to pivoting of the inner rotor 4, moving freely between a closing position for closing the first opening 23 and an opening position for opening the first opening 23, and engaging mechanisms 59, 60 provided between the cartridge case 2 and the shutter members 5a, 5b and keeping an engaging state between the cartridge case 2 and the shutter members 5a, 5b when the shutter members 5a, 5b are positioned at the closing position.
