PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of large amounts of difference data in erasing data stored in a storage system for storing the difference of updated data. SOLUTION: In a storage device, a first storage region for storing data is provided, and a second storage region for storing the duplicate of data stored in the first storage region is included, and when the data stored in the first storage region are updated, the data are duplicated to the second region before the data are updated, and when the erasure request of the data stored in the first storage region is accepted, the processing to duplicate the data before update to the second storage region is stopped, and the data stored in the first storage region are erased based on the erasure request of the data.
