PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof structure of an external apparatus connection part of a portable electronic appliance without the risk of entrance of water from an external appliance connection part into a space for storing a printed circuit board or the like, the structure enabling easy examination of waterproofness at the external appliance connection part. SOLUTION: The portable electronic appliance watertightly partitions the inside of cases 1, 2 of a waterproof structure with a first partition wall, into a first space for storing an external appliance connection part 8 and a second space for storing a member 9 other than the external appliance connection part. A second partition wall for separating the second space from the outside is provided with an airtight inspection hose connecting hole 1a to be watertightly closed ordinarily with a waterproofing lid 6.
