PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reel capable of equalizing rigidity at both ends in an axial direction of a reel hub by using a small and light-weight reinforcing ring, and to obtain a recording tape cartridge capable of satisfactorily protecting a recording tape by applying the reel. SOLUTION: The reel 28 includes a resin reel hub 46 which is formed into a cylindrical shape with a bottom portion, a resin upper flange 50 which is integrally extended from an opening end portion 46B of the reel hub 45 toward a radial outside, a resin lower flange member 60 which has a lower flange 56 facing the upper flange 50 in the state of being welded to a bottom plate 48 of the reel hub 45 in a center portion 58, and a reinforcing ring 68 which reinforces a part of the reel hub 45 in the axial direction, the part including the opening end 46B in the cylindrical wall 46 of the reel hub 45.
