PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core-wound body of a battery which is suitable for automatically winding an electrode sheet and a separator by a winding device and has an integrated electrode tab. SOLUTION: The core-wound body 1 is formed of a pair of rectangular primary surface walls 2, 2, and a hinge 3 connecting adjacent edges of both the primary surface walls 2, 2.The core-wound body 1 is injection-molded while both the primary surface walls 2, 2 are extended in an adjacent state. The electrode tabs 8, 9 for current collection are integrated with the primary surface wall 2 by fixing the electrode tabs with inserts on at least one of opposite sides 7, 7 forming an outer edge of the primary surface wall 2. Coated walls 15 for holding the front and back surfaces of the inserts 11, 12 of the electrode tabs 8, 9 are intermittently formed along peripheral edges of inserts 11, 12.
