METHOD FOR MANAGING AUTHENTICATION INFORMATION IN HOMENETWORK AND APPARATUS THEREOF

A method and an apparatus for managing authentication information in home network for performing stable communication between a controller and a controlled device are provided to secure the integrity of the information which is transmitted by utilizing an SSK(Shared Secret Key) for the message authentication code evaluation. A security manager(110) controls home network, an apparatus sort, and a user authentication information. The authentication information is transmitted SAC(Secure Authentication Channel) to the control device or the controlled device. A control device(100) searches a security manager(121). The PIN information of the control device is input from outside to a security manager(122). By using PIN(Product Identification Number), the control device and security manager set up the safe authentication channel through a TLS-PSK(Transport Layer Security based on Pre-Shared Key) protocol(123). The security manager produces the certificate of the control device. The control device is transmitted the authentication information through the trigger set secret interface call of the security manager. The authentication information is safely assimilated by using the out-of-band protocol of the TLS-PSK base.
