METHOD OF DIFFERENTIAL SPACE-TIME CODING

A differential space-time coding method is provided to offer the maximum diversity and unit rate without causing the reverse of polarities of pulses. A coding unit(510) codes two information symbols into two vectors of a sequence having two components. The components of the vectors modulate the position of a pulse UWB signal to use a given radioactive element and a given transmission channel. Each component corresponds to one PPM modulation position. Two modulators modulate the position of the pulse UWB signal. Each modulator uses components of a vector related to the use of the radioactive element and channel.
