PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exert no musically unnatural influence even when an assigning process for securing a sounding channel by forcibly muting a musical sound signal in sounding is performed. SOLUTION: When MIDI data of a new sounding event are inputted through a MIDI interface 7 during the sounding of all of 8 sounding channels of a sound source LSI 8, a CPU 1 computes priority according to the kind of control data giving timbre variation to the sounding event, the envelope step of the sounding event, and respective sounding parts, and forcibly mutes the sounding event of the sounding channel and assigns the new sounding event when the priority of the new sounding event is higher than the lowest priority among sounding events in sounding. |
