A remote monitoring system and a method using a WiBro phone for monitoring an image of a remote monitoring area using a wibro phone are provided to supply a fast maintenance service by determining abnormality of the monitor at remote place. An on-the-spot device(200) is installed at the monitoring region and collects images. The on-the-spot device controls the operation of the camera included in the on-the-spot device according to a request of a wibro phone(500). A center device(100) stores the image of the monitoring region in the designated address domain. The center device changes collected images to the data of the internet protocol. The center device transmits data with the internet network. The collected images are monitored in the wibro phone by the remote. |
