Display device

The display device (1) has a front pointer (2) and a rear pointer (3) and arranged on an instrument dial (4) so that the rear pointer of the face covers some sections. The display has a light source (8) associated with the rear pointer. The light source provides a beam of light at the outer final part (7) of the pointer with emitted light arranged behind it. A contoured light spot (6) having an optical element is also provided for the display.
