METHOD FOR GENERATING AND TRANSMITTING DATA PACKET

A method for generating and transmitting data packet in radio communication system is provided to reduce unnecessary overhead in transmitting procedure for voice packet using MAC(Media Access Control) header of voice packet. The MAC header for the voice packet can delete or reduce the bit number of the specific field, and the field having a new function is supplemented. The MAC header for the voice packet comprises an indicator in which the MAC PDU(Protocol Data Unit) elementarily indicates data packet for the VoIP(Voice of Internet Protocol) service and the length field showing the length of the MAC PDU.
